In July 2015, the First Insurance Company of Hawaii (FICOH) Charitable Foundation made a donation of $15,000 in support of Easter Seals Hawaii’s programs and services.

Easter Seals Hawaii provides individualized, family-centered services to empower people with developmental disabilities and special needs to achieve their goals and live independent fulfilling lives. The organization has touched the lives of many individuals and families over its nearly 70-year history in the islands. Learn more at http://www.easterseals.com/hawaii/.

“It’s a privilege to support Easter Seals Hawaii, which provides much-needed programs and services to our community,” said Jeff Shonka, First Insurance CEO. “As a company doing business in Hawaii for nearly 105 years, we take our responsibility to nonprofit organizations and the larger community very seriously.”

In 2014, the FICOH Charitable Foundation donated more than $400,000 to local nonprofits. The Foundation’s four main focus areas are economic development; education; health and social services; and the arts and culture.
