HELP HAWAII THRIVE WITH FICOH

Organizations can only be as strong as the communities they serve. With this philosophy in mind, First Insurance Company of Hawaii (FICOH) is mindful of its responsibility to Hawaii and endeavors to help Hawaii communities thrive through local leadership, volunteer service and charitable contributions.

Giving back is part of core values, and is an ideal that is embraced by every aspect of our organization – from our team in Hawaii to our parent company in Japan. As a member of the Tokio Marine group, we are expected to be a “Good Company" that acts for the benefit of its customers and business partners and society as a whole.

Below are just a few of the ways FICOH serves Hawaii communities

Community Service

First Community Action Team

First CAT, which stands for First Community Action Team, is the avenue through which our associates perform volunteer service in the community. By participating in First CAT, First Insurance associates log more than 1,000 hours of volunteer time in the community every year. First CAT participates in fundraisers, park clean-ups, charity walks, food drives and meal deliveries to the elderly and homebound, all with the goal of giving back to Hawaii, its people, non-profits and charitable organizations.

Hawaii Meals on Wheels

Our team delivers hot meals to the elderly and homebound twice a week through the Hawaii Meals on Wheels (HMOW) program. Deliveries are made every week of the year, even on holidays. Our partnership with HMOW has continued uninterrupted for more than ten years. Nearly half of all First Insurance associates participate in this partnership by delivering meals each year.
